PROGETTO PLAY EN.

OBJECTIVES
The PLAY - KEEP CALM AND PLAY SAFE project contributes to boost EU strategies and principles for the promotion of health-enhancing physical activities, through the stimulation of the debate and the adoption of an Anti-Doping Manifesto to tackle the use of doping in grassroots sports.

Specific project objectives are:

• to increase the capacity of sport-related organizations to operate at transnational level, promoting the exchange of good practices, confront of ideas and methods to foster the importance of physical activities among young athletes through the formalization of the Transnational Network for the promotion of sport integrity within the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-region 

• to tackle cross border threats to the integrity of sports and combat the use of doping within grassroots sports in the Adriatic-Ionian Macro-region through the identification of EU/national/regional good practices on anti-doping prevention strategies 

• to promote a common doping prevention strategy among project partners and relevant stakeholders, through the creation and animation of Local Sport Boards (Task 2.1) and through the drafting and adoption of the Anti-Doping Manifesto (Task 3.3), thus contributing to the development of anti-doping policies, rules and regulations at EU level

• to protect athletes, especially the youngest, from health and safety hazards, by increasing their understanding on doping, promote fair competition conditions and strength the role of sport as a multiplier factor for active participation, equal opportunities and social inclusion, in line with the EU work plan for sport, through their direct involvement in surveys activities and in cultural, educational and raising awareness activities 

• to support the mobility of young athletes, coaches, managers and staff of sport clubs through the organization of a Transnational Bootcamp, promoting educational, cultural and recreational activities in the field of sport integrity and doping prevention 

• to increase knowledge and awareness among young people, families, schools and sport operators at all level on the dangers related to pharmacological pollution and doping in recreational sports through the development of analysis on doping trends and perception, the implementation of educational sessions and information campaigns and the development of communication and dissemination tools, activities and events
